Collection takes place on WEDNESDAYS. Place containers in front of the building as close as possible to the road without blocking the sidewalk between 7 p.m. the evening before and 7 a.m. on collection day.

Organic materials

Organic waste collections is offered via the collections of green waste and food waste. Exceptions for all collections: Commercial streets: Containers should be taken out between 7 and 10 a.m. on the following commercial streets: - Avenue Laurier Est: between Rue de Brébeuf and Avenue Papineau - Avenue Papineau : between Avenue du Mont-Royal and the railroad tracks

Household waste

For buildings with 20 dwellings and fewer collection takes place ONLY on Friday. For buildings with 21 dwellings and more and businesses, collection takes place on Wednesday and Friday. Hours : Take out containers between 7 p.m. the evening before and 7 a.m. the day of collection

Food residues

Heavy construction, renovation and demolition (CRD) residues

Collection takes place on WEDNESDAYS. Place containers in front of the building as close as possible to the road without blocking the sidewalk between 7 p.m. the evening before and 7 a.m. on collection day. Bulky objects that are upholstered or covered with fabric (sofas, box springs, mattresses, carpets) must be deposited with household waste, they are collected during this collection. Collection is offered ONLY to residential buildings.

Green residues (including dead leaves)

Collection day(s) for fall 2020 : Wednesdays, from October 14th to November 18th Hours : Take out containers between 7 p.m. the evening before and 7 a.m. the day of collection Containers accepted : - Reusable rigid containers - Paper bags - Cardboard boxes Plastic bags are not accepted.

Recyclable materials

Collection takes place on WEDNESDAYS. Place containers* in front of the building as close as possible to the road without blocking the sidewalk between 7 p.m. the evening before and 7 a.m. on collection day. The Borough of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal distributed 67-liter recycling bins free of charge to all occupancy units in the sector located between rue Papineau (east side only), Mont-Royal (north side only), Iberville (west side only) and the railway line. These bins replace single-use plastic bags. For more information, see 311.
